New Machin definitive stamps Recorded Signed For service - 17 November 2009

To satisfy an operational demand at Post Office counters, Royal Mail has produced two new definitive NVI stamps which combine the Recorded Signed For fee (currently 75p) with 1st class basic (39p) and 1st class Large (61p) postage rates.

issued in February 2009.
Recorded Signed For 1st class date block 9/10/09.  Recorded signed for 1st class large date block. Printing dates on first supplies.

Letter - 16/10/09 and 19/10/09
(Friday and Monday)

Technical information

The new definitive stamps will be printed by De La Rue in gravure.   The Large Letter stamp is 33 x 24mm and the basic letter stamp is 24mm x 24mm, ie 4mm wider than the basic stamps in both cases.
