Following the reported success of the Love booklet issued in January 2007, and promoting the Smilers stamps service Royal Mail will issue another booklet aimed at senders of cards for St Valentines Day (14 February). This booklet contains 6 1st class stamps, of which 4 are standard definitives and 2 are the LOVE greetings stamp, with Smilers-type labels. The edge strip on the booklet is decorated with gold hearts.
Royal Mail do not regard this as a new issue, so there will not be
an official first day cover or First Day of Issue postmarks. However
although the Love stamps have normal perforations all round, they may
be different to those previously issued in Smilers Sheets. Royal
Mail
have now said that the label-attached Love booklets will have
elliptical perforations like the 2006 booklet. The
image
now shows the actual booklet - elliptical perforations,
interrupted where joined to the label at top, foot and centre.
(See original
issued on 4 October 2005 for the original booklet stamps.)
